We have opportunities for school students, school leavers and students in higher or further education.

What will I gain from work experience or a work placement?
Our work experience programme is designed to give you the chance to find out more about who we are, the type of work we do and how you can become involved. You will develop new skills, gain new knowledge and get some ‘hands-on’ practical experience. We hope that it will also help you decide on your future career path.

Your time at South Somerset will include a mix of work shadowing and practical experience. What activities you do will depend of the service area you are placed with.

Typically, work experience will last 2 weeks. This may vary slightly depending on where you are placed and when.
